On August 22, 2018, Dr. Ascher Shmulewitz and Dr. David Nuer from Assuta Medical Center of Israel visited XJTU Shanghai Academy. Dr.Lei, Dean of XJTU Shanghai Academy and the Deputy Dean, Li Dewen welcomed the guests. Liang Peng, Chen Yanan, Liu Zhenwei, Liu Lixin and Cao Xiangning attended the exchange meeting.
At the meeting, Dean Lei warmly welcome to Mr. Ascher and his delegation, and introduced the research achievements carried out by the Academy in Smart City, New Energy Storage Technologies, Offshore Innovation Center construction and internationalization. He emphasized on the medical and health cooperation project that we cooperated with Sweden and the research and development results of our hospital—biochips. Biochips are characterized by high throughput, automation and intelligence, and have broad application prospects in the fields of precision medicine and vaccine detection. Dr. Ascher is very interested in this technology and expressed his hope to be able to take advantage of the Assuta Medical Center in medical research and development and clinical fields, and cooperate with the Academy in medical health and biochip projects for the benefit of all mankind.
After the meeting, the two sides reached a consensus which will continue to communicate in deeper level on China-Israel cooperation in the future. Mr. Ascher also invited Dean Lei to visit the Assuta Medical Center in Israel.
