2017 October 11th afternoon, Dean of Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy Dr. Lei Li, deputy general manager of Shanghai Grid Electricity Technology Co.,LTD Dr. Li Shenglei visited the MUTIARA SMART COMPUTING SDN BHD ( which is the Intelligent Computing Company, hereinafter as referred SMART Company) which is directly managed by Malaysia Ministry of Finance (MOF) with the CEO of TITM Company Mr. Nasir. The Chairman of SMART Company Mr. Datuk Sr. MUHAMAD, CEO Mr. JAMALIL and other senior management personnel attended the welcome ceremony. At the subsequent meeting, the two sides had in-depth and frank communication on issues of mutual interest.
The CEO of SMART Company Mr. JAMALIL introduced the company from company history, organizational structure, existing business, strategic transformation, future development and so on aspects. The SMART Company was established in 1997, and restructured as the wholly owned direct control company by Malaysia Ministry of Finance in 2009. This company focus on the ICT field and provide long term ICT services for many government departments (like Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Finance). Based on the requirements of the Ministry of Finance, the SMART Company in the future continue to engage in the IT hardware supplies and operations at the same time, will also expand the application development, security monitoring, data disaster preparedness, etc, and plan a strategic transformation to Big Data, Internet of Things, national broadband plan, the Smart City, and so on fields.
Dean Lei Li appreciated the high technology, broad vision and long periodplan of strategic transformation, as well as discussed and communicated more in Big Data, Internet of Things, national broadband plan, the Smart City, and so on fields with the Malaysia side. He indicated that we have the will and ability to deepen bilateral cooperation in the above fields, bring the advanced science and technology, advanced solutions, advanced management experience of China to Malaysia. We are willing to contribute to the construction of "digital society" in Malaysia.
Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth discussions and detailed communication on the communication infrastructure consultation and service project of the national broadband plan. Both sides agreed to promote the project to a higher level as soon as possible, and agreed to conduct exchanges and long-term cooperation in more areas.
Finally, dean Lei Li kindly invited the Chairman of SMART Company Mr. Datuk Sr. MUHAMA to visit Chin. Mr. Datuk Sr. MUHAMAD accepted the invitation and said he would visit China as soon as possible.
