2016 August 20th, Italian former national speaker of the house, chairman of Italy to China friendship association, Chairman of the board of Italy-China development fund Ms. Irene Pivetti and Mr. Pier-Domenico PEIRONE with two other members visited Shanghai Academy. Dean of Shanghai Academy XJTU Lei Li, deputy dean of Suzhou Academy XJTU Zhang Jianfeng, and deputy dean of Shanghai Academy XJTU Yu Dongsheng, secretary general Zheng Huating, XJTLU Dr. Xi Tuo and so on met the guests. Indepth communication cover science, art, education cooperation, construction cooperation of China-Italy innovation center and so on aspects carried out between Italy and China both sides.
Li Wenhao from Shanghai Academy introduced basic information of the XJTU and Shanghai Academy XJTU, also details about working mode and research results of academy offshore innovation center. Dean Lei Li discussed the cooperative base between both sides from smart city, information security, energy, Ferrari theme park and so on aspects and proposed the cooperation idea after indepth communication with Ms. Pivetti that co-construction of China-Italy offshore innovation center which depends on the perspectives from the mode innovation serving docking and exchanges between Chinese and Italian enterprises better.
Ms. Pivetti showed strong interest in research fields of Shanghai Academy XJTU like smart city, green energy, life health and so on. She introduced the main tasks and progress situation in trade, culture, technology field of deep cooperation platform of Chinese and Italian enterprises (ONLY ITALIA CHINA), as well as the expectation of more cooperation with Chinese enterprises. Ms. Pivetti also indicated that main problems in current cooperation between Chinese and Italian enterprises, and highly expected of comprehensive cooperation in China and Italy which based on the China-Italy offshore innovation center cooperation platform.
Dean Lei Li highly praised the work about promotion of communication and cooperation of Chinese and Italian enterprises by deep cooperation platform of Chinese and Italian enterprises (ONLY ITALIA CHINA). He also proposed some ideas and suggestions of cooperation problem between Italian middle-and-small-sized enterprises and large domestic corporation, as well as the financial fund development mode.
After meeting, both sides signed the agreement of co-construction of China and Italy offshore innovation center. Both sides will integrate superior resource of each level, establish China and Italy offshore innovation center, and cooperate in smart city top-level design, frontier areas of science and technology, art, culture, education and so on fields. Under the background of global strategic cooperation "the Belt and Road", both sides will strengthen comprehensive cooperation and achieve a win-win situation.
