On March 7, 2018, Academician Liang Ping,Fellow of National Academy of Inventors visited Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy, Vice Dean Li Shenglei of the Academy and Secretary General Cheng Huating received the guests and expressed their warm welcome to Liang's visit.
Vice Dean Li Shenglei introduced the Academy's profile to Academician Liang from the development history, research direction, and work progress of the Academy. Academycolleague Liang Peng introduced the current situation of international cooperation and exchange of the Shanghai Academy. The Academy is based on the National “One Belt and One Road” development strategy and has extensive cooperation with neighboring countries and regions. Now the Academy with Russia, Sweden, Italy, Malaysia, the Philippines and other countries in science and technology research and development, industry incubation, planning and design, project output direction to set up a partnership. Among these, the new energy vehicles, biochip, ceramic coating technology have been in the process of industrialization.
In the process of communication, Academy colleagues Liu Zhenwei, Zhang Shaojun, etc. conducted in-depth exchanges on the application prospects of 5G technology in smart cities, unmanned driving, and artificial intelligence. Academician Liang explained profound theories in simple language, which inspired the Academy colleagues much.
After the meeting, Vice Dean Li Shenglei thanked Academician Liang for his visit and work guidance, and invited Academician Liang to visit Shanghai Academy again.
