July 20th,2016, Malaysia delegation, Mr. Nasir Bin Abdullah, Mr. Ari Krishnan Ramlall and Mr. Lim Liong Kiat visited Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy. Dean Lei Li, Secretary-general Zheng Huating warmly welcomed the guests and had a depth discussion with the guests.
Dean Lei Li appreciated Mr. Nasir and his entourage visit. Academy representatives Chen Yanan, Li Wenhao, He Rong respectively introduced Academy general information, Offshore innovation centers and Industrialization projects to Mr. Nasir and his team.
Dean Lei Li pointed out, Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy, adhering to the "strategical, pioneering, international, marketable, platform " strategy, relying on own international resources and the support from Xi'an Jiaotong University, is actively carrying out international cooperation, especially in the aspects of Nano materials & energy storage technology, ICT and smart city, Life science& health care and etc. So far academy has made a series of exciting results. Malaysia is an important regional country according to China "one belt - one road" national strategy, cooperation with the Malaysian side meets the national strategic plan, as well as the self-development of Shanghai Academy. Both sides have wide prospects for cooperation in ICT and smart city, Life science& health care and other fields, academy is planning to make efforts to promote in-depth cooperation with Malaysian side, including Malaysia offshore innovation centre establish and a series of programs, in order to achieve mutual benefit and all-win results.
Mr. Nasir Bin Abdullah and Mr. Ari Krishnan Ramlall expressed the gratitude for the warm reception of Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy, and expressed their appreciation and inspiration of the innovative pattern and collaborative efforts of international cooperation and exciting and encouraging results. Malaysia has huge market demands in ICT and smart city, Green energy, Life science& health care and other fields; they are hoping to carry out integration cooperation with the Shanghai Academy in these areas and work together to create a new mode of collaborative innovation.
Both sides also agreed that a comprehensive partnership of cooperation will be established, information & communication platform and liaison mechanism will be carried out, multi-level all-round cooperation will be launched. Based on Malaysia Troy, Both sides will deeply cooperate in ICT and smart city, Green energy, Life science& health care and other fields. Malaysia side will together with Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy to contribute to the strategic vision "one belt - one road" implementation.
