From September 11 to 12, 2018, Dr. Lei Li, Dean of Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy, Dr. Shi Jianbo, Director of Offshore Innovation Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy, Dr. Xu Jian, Researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences Chemistry Institute , member of Expert Consultation on National New Materials Industry Development Committee, and Vice Chairman of the China Composite Materials Society, and related leaders visited Elektra Solar in Munich, Germany, together they discussed and analyzed the technology of the electric aircraft of Elektra Solar GmbH and high-precision 3D map generation system with the General Manager Mr. Calin Cologan and the Chief Operating Officer Ulf Kern of Elektra Solar.
Elektra Solar is a high-tech industry company with capabilities of designing ultra-light electric manned aircraft (2~4 seaters) and unmanned electric aircrafts. Also, Elektra Solar has the ability to record the high-precision of the ground surface and generate high-precision 3D map. The high-precision 3D map generation system in the electric aircraft is mainly applied to personnel transportation, logistics transportation and drawing 3D maps, which will all be expected to become the infrastructure of transportation, freight and survey in the future.
Dean Lei Li experienced Elektra Solar's mass-produced manned solar electric aircraft.
During the meeting, they also discussed the feasibility of the cooperation on high-performance ceramic insulated aero-motor, and unanimously decided to continue their further cooperation and research on this technology.
