Dybuncio, President of SM Investment Group, Mr. S. Tandoc,Vice President of MACROASIA Group Belgium and many other government and business partners, talked about the cooperation direction and project conditions in the new year.
On the afternoon of January 31, Dean Leili and Vice Dean Li Dewen paid a visit to Mr. DONATO D.MARCOS, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Philippines. Dean Lei and Mr. MARCOS exchanged views on nuclear energy training and power generation cooperation. Mr. MARCOS expressed his willingness to cooperate in the model of government to government and business-to-business, under MOU signed by the Philippines and the Ministry of Energy (MOE). It is suggested that Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy can submit a letter of interest to the Department of Energy with a consortium of local enterprises in the Philippines, to provide a plan for the energy situation in the Philippines.
On the morning of February 1, Dean Leili and Vice Dean Li Dewen paid a visit to Mr. RAUL.LAMBINO, CEO of Cagayan Economic Zone. They reached a preliminary agreement on cooperation with Cagayan Economic Zone in port construction, 200MW power generation project, information and communications and China-Philippine labor dispatch.
On the afternoon of February 1, Dean Leili and Vice Dean Li Dewen paid a visit to SM Group chairman Henry T.Sy, the NGCP director, and Frederic C. Dybuncio, president of SM Investment Group, answered the questions about tower distribution, signal coverage, investment planning in the Philippines during the 5G era and how to effectively use NGCP fiber resources in the era of 5G communications. Both parties will further explore the cooperation based on communications.
On the afternoon of February 1, Dean Leili and Vice Dean Li Dewen participated in the Manila Bureau of Water Supplies (MWSS) Eco-tourism hub project master plan opening ceremony. Dean Leili congratulated General Velasco, the head of the Manila Water Authority, and advised on the financial model for the project's investment and earnings.
On the afternoon of February 2, Vice Dean Li Dewen paid a visit to Mr. Belgium S. Tandoc, Vice President of MACROASIA Group. Mr. Belgium gave a brief introduction to the business areas and development of MACROASIA Group. Vice Dean Li Dewen introduced the cooperation projects of Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy in the Philippines. Mr. Belgium is very interested in our participation in MWSS water research and urban infrastructure in the Philippines, hoping to cooperate with Xi'an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy in the construction of urban sewage and Clarke Airport.
