Xi’an Jiaotong University Shanghai Academy was registered in Shanghai Pudong district in May 2006. Dr. LEI Li from Xi’an Jiaotong University acts as the president of academy. Academy is operated by council under president responsibility system as well as the leadership with Xi’an Jiaotong University Party Committee, School Boards, and School Industry-University-Research Cooperation Advance Committee.

Based on the location advantage of shanghai with the advantage of talents and achievements of Xi’an jiaotong university, Shanghai Academy as an outside institute of Xi’an Jiaotong University is positioning to establish the Shanghai Pudong Innovation Harbor.
